Professional Bio
Tim has experience in a variety of educational avenues that range from presenting school assemblies Maine to Virginia, owning a rock climbing gym, developing an outdoor education program in Rifle Colorado, and leading many different schools.
As a leader, Tim has worked in a school at the top 1% of achievement in the US, lead a nationally known online school, and commuted 300 times over Berthoud Pass to work in rural Grand County. Each experience has added a new layer to his perspective of education and how to meet the needs of very different communities. Currently Tim works at Everitt Middle School, part of JeffCO public schools, and has joined a passionate group of educators driven to developing a growth mindset in students from truly diverse backgrounds.
Tim is a huge advocate for custom school design and powerful vision work. He champions the idea that with belief in design, schools can push beyond any barrier. With this belief in mind, he was selected for the first ever School Retool fellowship created by Stanford University and the design firm IDEO. The fellowship has opened new avenues for project development and lead to the creation of a new experiential education style advisory that is positively impacting the culture at Everitt. When away from education, his joy is spending time with his family and venturing into the wilderness hiking, biking, or skiing.
