PD Portfolio
I have a passion for leading professional learning and I have been fortunate to have many opportunities to work with teachers and students in a variety of schools. Below are samples of the professional learning sessions I have lead over the past 8 years and hope gain more opportunities to connect with schools in the US and around the world.
Vision Design Proces
One of the most important aspects of developing the culture and connections necessary to improve student learning is creating a vision that drives the work of everyone in an organization. Below is a design process for building a vision that sticks and it is what we are dedicated to at my current school in JeffCO. The positive cultural impact of this process can be viewed in the TELL colorado school survey at the following link: http://public.tableau.com/shared/SP97BJQCX?:display_count=yes
PLC Nirvana
Professional Learning Communities are an important part of the school improvement process due to the nature of adults learning from genuine peers. Below is the PLC process created with as much clarity as possible to support peer learning at Everitt Middle School
Asset vs. Deficit Thinking
We are hard wired to look for what's wrong, even when what's right is staring us straight in the face! Using a bright spots mentality, how can we shift our thinking about students to move from "disability" to "this ability"?

ABC's of Relationship Building
One of the greatest challenges we face in school is what we all bring with us to school every day. When we interact with people it's a constant reference to our life experience and very few of us have a true framework to help guide our interactions. Using the most basic CPR methodology of the Airway, Breathing, and Circulation, there is a parallel model of relationship building that you can learn to use in the most challenging relationship situations with students and adults every day.
